Put It In My Diary — Privacy Policy

Put It In My Diary is a family diary, planner and calendar app provided by HelpfulCo Innovations Ltd. This privacy policy explains how personal information is handled when you use Put It In My Diary.
Information the app may process
Depending on the features you use, Put It In My Diary may process:
- Account information, such as your email address, user identifier and authentication information needed to sign you in.
- Diary and planner information, such as event titles, dates, times, reminders, notes, recurring-event information and other details you choose to add.
- Family sharing information, such as family or group names, invite information, member identifiers and diary information you choose to share with members of your family group.
- Information about family members that you choose to enter, for example names and events relating to school, clubs, appointments, birthdays, rotas or family plans.
- Images or documents you choose to import when using supported import or text-recognition features. The app requests access only when you choose to use those features.
- Notification information, such as notification preferences and the device token needed to deliver push notifications where enabled.
- Basic technical and security information needed to operate cloud services, authenticate users, prevent misuse and troubleshoot service problems.
How we use information
We use information only as needed to provide and support Put It In My Diary, including to:
- create, store and display your diary and planner information;
- sign you in and protect your account;
- sync supported information between devices;
- provide family sharing features you choose to use;
- send reminders and notifications you have enabled;
- process event imports and text-recognition requests you start;
- maintain security, prevent misuse and diagnose technical problems; and
- respond to support, privacy and data-deletion requests.
Family sharing
If you use family sharing, information you choose to share may be visible to other members of the family group. Only share information that is appropriate for those members to see. Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding what information about children or other family members they enter and share through the app.
Camera, photos and imported information
Put It In My Diary may ask for camera or photo-library access when you choose to import diary information from an image or document. Access is used for the import feature you requested. HelpfulCo Innovations Ltd does not use your selected images or diary content for advertising.
PIN and biometric security
Where device PIN or biometric protection is available, biometric matching is handled by the device operating system. HelpfulCo Innovations Ltd does not receive your fingerprint or facial biometric data.
Cloud services and service providers
Put It In My Diary uses Google Firebase services for features such as authentication, cloud data, application services and push messaging. Google acts as a service provider for these functions and may process technical information required to provide them under its own applicable terms and privacy safeguards.
The app also uses Google ML Kit technology for supported text-recognition features. Your device platform and app store provider may separately process information under their own privacy policies when you download, update or use platform services.
Advertising and sale of personal information
Put It In My Diary does not sell your personal information. We do not use the contents of your diary, family plans or imported information for behavioural advertising.
How long information is kept
Information stored locally remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app's data or remove the app, subject to the way your device handles backups. Information stored in cloud services may remain while your account or shared family data is active. We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal or security obligations, resolve disputes and enforce applicable agreements.
Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your Put It In My Diary account and associated cloud personal information by emailing helpfulcoamara@gmail.com with the subject Put It In My Diary data deletion, or by using our Put It In My Diary contact page. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account holder before deleting account data.
Data that must be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, security or accounting reasons may be kept only for the period required for that purpose. Removing the app from a device does not necessarily delete information already stored in cloud services, so please use the deletion-request method above if you want cloud account data removed.
Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to ask for access to personal information we hold about you, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, request deletion or restriction of processing, object to certain processing, or request a portable copy of information where applicable.
To make a privacy request, email helpfulcoamara@gmail.com and state that your request relates to Put It In My Diary.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect app and account information, including authenticated service access and security controls provided by our platform and cloud-service providers. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Put It In My Diary changes, when service providers change, or when legal or platform requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
